Whether you’re new to the area, looking for a new church home, visiting family, or just passing through, we welcome you to join us for Sunday worship at Trinity Presbyterian Church. We know that it can be intimidating to be new, but our pastor, staff, and members are dedicated to ensuring that visitors feel welcome from the moment they arrive. To that end, we offer the following information so you know what to expect. The links in each answer go to pages that offer more information on these topics.
We meet in the auditorium at Crofton High School (2291 Davidsonville Rd., Crofton, MD): a map and other location details can be found here. While we raise money for a building, God has blessed us with a reliable worship location at Crofton High. We park in the lot by the main entrance – as soon as you walk in, you’ll see our welcome table.
We have Sunday School from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in the school lobby, a time of fellowship from 10:00 am to 10:30 am in the school lobby, and a Worship Service in the auditorium that begins at 10:30 and ends around noon. Visitors are welcome at all of these events.
Absolutely! Trinity has a healthy population of children who enjoy meeting new friends. During Sunday School, we offer nursery for children under the age of 4 and classes for kids up through 8th grade. During the worship service, we offer nursery for children under the age of 3 and have a “Young Worshipper in Training” (YWIT) class for children between the ages of 3 and 6 during part of the service on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. Our children’s ministry staff will help direct you and your children to the right classes.
We do not have a dress code at Trinity, and you’ll see people dressed in everything from shorts to jeans to suits. Come as you are!
Trinity’s elders lead the congregation through a traditional order of worship that includes Bible readings, worship songs, several prayers, a sermon, and communion. Our music includes traditional and contemporary hymns led by a small worship team of singers and several musicians. The sermon is always Gospel-focused, and the pastor speaks to the children in the congregation as well as the adults. We welcome children of all ages to participate in the service.
Nothing! Just show up, walk in the door, and come to the welcome table. Grab a bulletin and, if you don’t have one, a Bible. Our officers, staff, and members are always on the lookout for any newcomers and can answer any questions that you have. We have welcomed people of all backgrounds – from those with no religious experience whatsoever to lifelong believers. We look forward to seeing you!
