The music ministry of Trinity Presbyterian Church (TPC) seeks to glorify God by enabling the congregation to offer heartfelt worship in song each week. Our Church Music Coordinator works with our pastor and elders to select suitable hymns for us to sing each week, and she organizes the onstage worship team that leads us in song. We are blessed to have several pianists, numerous singers, and many other musicians in our congregation such as violinists, horn players, and guitarists. In addition to leading worship on Sunday mornings, the music team assists as needed with other events where we sing praises, such as Sunday Evening Fellowship.
Trinity's style of worship is simple and heartfelt: we sing hymns -- some traditional, some modern -- with lyrics printed on a bulletin. We don't use drums or electric guitars, as we strive for a worshipful, lyrical focus befitting sacred music. With the exception of some special holiday services, we don't have special musical performances but instead relish the opportunity to sing together (Col 3:16) with our fellow Christians. Our services typically feature a song of adoration, two songs of gratitude, a song of response, the Doxology, and a chorus of "The Steadfast Love" to close out our service.

The following list is a catalog of all of the hymns currently featured in our worship service. While we do occasionally add songs to this list, we try to balance the desire for novelty with the fervor our congregation has for classic hymns that we know and love. We also want to be diligent in singing only hymns that are good, true, and beautiful. The hymn's lyrics should cause the sing to reflect on Christ's work in a deep and profound way while also being accessible to most participants, including our younger attendees. Some of our songs have lyrics printed inline in the bulletin, while others are printed in the back as sheet music.
We generally use the Trinity Hymnal as our hymn source -- where possible, we've linked to a copy of the sheet music or lyrics. Some of the songs below are linked to a YouTube video as well that features the tune we use for that song. Christmas hymns/carols are italicized.
